We just made this beautiful script on our new plasma machine by using our own handwriting! We can automatically scale it to any size you like. We listed this as a 22″ x 9″ for the size, but we can adjust to fit any spot or need you have. Also, when we make your order, we can use a cursive font, or even your own cursive writing or own word. Just use a fat Sharpie (or other marker), write it on a piece of white paper like we did, take a picture and send it to us in a conversation along with the size you would like. We can convert pretty much anything into a 1/8″ thick steel sign for you! We even can take writing from an old recipe of Grandma’s and turn it into a script word of your choice!
Contact us about pricing, which can range from $15 to $150 for widths up to 48 inches (we can work out a quote if you would like even larger!)
Does Thickness Matter? YES! But it can be confusing because a lot of ads say “heavy duty,” “thick,” or “very durable,” but those are just words. Some ads will tell you it is a particular gauge, but if you are like us, these approaches make us feel like a goat looking at a watch – – pretty confused! So, in this listing we use 1/8″ thick metal. Let’s put that in a list of thicknesses using common coins:
1/8″ = .125″ = 11 Gauge = Thicker than a Quarter and a Dime Stacked on Top of Each Other (2.4% Thicker). It is 250% thicker than 18 Gauge and 60% thicker than 14 Gauge.
5/64″ = .078″ = 14 Gauge = Barely Thicker than a Nickel (1.6% thicker).
1/20″ = .05″ = 18 Gauge = Almost as Thick as a Dime (it is 6% short)
If you want this super thick, we make this out of 1/4″ steel, which is twice as thick as our 1/8″ (five times thicker than 18 gauge). It would be thicker than two quarters and two dimes, all four stacked on top of each other, and is called 3 gauge!!!
For the shipping, we picked a flat rate. It is too high for the small size, so we dropped the price to account for that. Also, if you buy several, we will refund you any excess shipping. If you are in Hawaii or Alaska, please send us a message before ordering anything other than the small size. We are subsidizing the shipping cost already and we are not sure if we have to charge extra to serve our far-away States. If you are interested however, strike up a conversation with us and we will see what we can figure out for you.
